We imagined Сarnival4David as a space of solidarity. It was held in more than 200 locations worldwide from Zuccotti Park NY, in Rojava, the ZAD in France, Korea, Austria, Berlin and London—Portobello Road—the place where David spent the last years of his life.

Graeber Carnival in YEG

Edmonton, known locally as ‘Yeg’, straddles the beautiful North Saskatchewan River, and houses the world class University of Alberta. It is an ‘orange bubble’ of left-thinkers in a rightwing Utopia of Rules, where Bullshit Jobs proliferate, and the discourse of Debt presumes the wealthy are our saviours. It’s also the home of wonderful artists, musicians, playwrights, direct actionists, anarchists and antifa; people who understand Value.
We’ll gather, in the Gazebo at Grant Notely Park, to show off our favourite masks, to read our favourite passages from David’s books, and tweet them to the Twitterverse, with the hashtag #GraeberCarnivalYeg.
