We imagined Сarnival4David as a space of solidarity. It was held in more than 200 locations worldwide from Zuccotti Park NY, in Rojava, the ZAD in France, Korea, Austria, Berlin and London—Portobello Road—the place where David spent the last years of his life.

This is event as close to my heart as Graeber has been. Since I first encountered him and his work in 2008, I have been swept in a stream of ‘act as if alresdy free.’ He is free now, he alresdy was. As life and it’s plans have changed, ‘act as if’ has never left me.
In the spirit of Graeber and all he has left us with, this event will allow ‘act as if..’ to be interpreted by all the people who have loved him – please come to share with fellow lovers how this phrase and impacted your life and what it means to you! It’s a carnival so please feel free to act as if!
