We imagined Сarnival4David as a space of solidarity. It was held in more than 200 locations worldwide from Zuccotti Park NY, in Rojava, the ZAD in France, Korea, Austria, Berlin and London—Portobello Road—the place where David spent the last years of his life.

Memorial carnival in Rojava

To commemorate the great effort and work that David Graber has dedicated to the people of Rojava / Northeast Syria and their revolution, we will hold a memorial carnival on October 11th. David’s work and lifelong struggle for another world, beyond state oppression and capitalist exploitation, lives today in the struggle of the societies of Rojavas / Northeast Syria and the building of a common coexistence on the basis of democratic self-administration. Together with all components of the societies of Northeast Syria, we will use the global carnival as an opportunity not to mourn, but to celebrate our common struggle.
